Should your branding change?

So you have been in business for about 10 years, your sales have leveled off to the same plateau year after year and you think it's time for a change. Does this sound like your situation right now? It's quite possible that the world is telling you it's time to change with the times.

Business owners can get caught up in their ways that they forget the one thing that got them started in the first place. Their Brand! A brand is not a "set it and forget it" asset. It needs to be managed, and it needs to follow the trends. Maybe that logo that you started with in 1999 is a bit outdated and is in need of a change that can best be recognized by millennials today.

Colors, fonts, and images all tell a story in our minds and it's important to have the same story be consistent across all your marketing platforms. This is called brand awareness.

If your fonts, color scheme, and images are consistent on social media, print, TV and interior decor, then you are keeping up with today's trends. If you are using different colors and fonts for different print ads, and your logo is used differently depending on the application, then maybe you need to consult with a graphic design company that can do an assessment for you and come up with a branding guidelines book for you to follow. Fees for a service like this range from $500 to $2500 so do your research when seeking a new graphic designer to take charge on your rebrand.
